Emblems & Logos

Y’s Men’s Emblem

I direct your attention to this emblem. It consist first of a red triangle, the symbol long employed by the YMCA to denotes its threefold programme of SPIRIT, MIND & BODY, In the upper border of the triangle appear the word ‘INTERNATIONAL’, indicative of the scope of our brotherhood and the breadth of our purpose. Within the triangle, you see a star shedding rays of light on the name, “Y”. This star symbolizes the star of Bethlehem, which twenty centuries ago guided the three Wise Men of the East to the Christ Child. May the star in this emblem also serve as a constant guide to Y’s Men today, leading them to a fuller understanding and realization of the nobility of unselfish service.

Now, I am gratified to pronounce you Y’s Men with membership in the Y’s Men’s Club/Y Service Club of Hong Kong District, and I welcome you, on behalf of all Y’s Men everywhere,  to this worldwide fellowship.
